My Project

Legos are a fabulous tool to teach community to my young students! I have them choose jobs, get paid, buy legos to build their shelters/homes.

Kids learn about things like city design (ie why you don't put something that dirties the drinking water upstream from the town), what kind of neighborhood you want to live in, and how to make sure you have the services you need where and when you need them.

They also learn to be good neighbors, help each other out when there is a storm (there is ALWAYS a storm) and the value of working to earn your living and how to increase your purchasing power!
