My Students

I have a diverse group of learners in my class. They all live in the inner city and are extremely sheltered. Many of my students have not been out of the city. They come from broken homes and are exposed to things that children should not know about.

Many of my students are forced to grow up quicker than they should have to.

My job is to expose them to age-appropriate experiences. I want them to remain children as long as possible.

My Project

We are asking for different LEGO kits to help stimulate learning by having students use fine motor skills as well as their imagination. These different kits help foster social emotional learning. Student can work independently or with. a partner to create what the kit is designed for. They can also use their imagination to create their own world. This will allow for a brain break if needed. We all know this year is tough and the LEGO kits will allow student to be kids for a little bit. Thank you so much!
