My Project

Our second-grade students would love some materials to collaborate on, solve building projects, and create their own visions—Lego materials are perfect manipulatives/Stem items.

We have several students with disabilities and emotional issues.

Many autistic people love LEGO so much that it has given rise to its form of autism therapy, received its category in special interest surveys, and resulted in a Guinness World Record for the giant LEGO Titanic replica. Playmobil materials are a good introduction/bridge for students at different levels of development.

Having Lego stations in the calming corner and STEM corner will be a useful tool.

LEGO bricks have been the number one tool in our classroom for bringing all students together. The girls are just as excited as the boys, which has been fabulous to watch, observe, and encourage.
