When people hear about our school, they know the reputation it can give off. Our neighborhood is in a low economic area, and my students come from all walks of life and are willing to learn.
That is the beauty of their reputation.
My students all want to be able to express themselves in the multiple ways that art allows. My students are constantly wanting to learn new art methods and history. For some students, this is their first time having art in their lifetime. This year we will be focusing on exploration of materials and allowing ourselves to grow through different time periods in art and history!
My Project
My students love being able to create using LEGOs. Our STEAM days get our fingers moving and creating. We need more LEGOs and LEGOs friends to help us create scenes for our stop motion projects. Students will be able to benefit from these LEGOs for multiple projects.
STEAM days really help students work together.
Students are able to work with others to build and create projects. This is anything from a back drop to a building. Students in the past have even created a city while working together. Students also will be working with our technology (iPads) to create a Stop Motion Animation. This means we take our iPads and take pictures and compile them in order to create a mini movie.
We also need shelving to keep our projects safe. We will be able to use the shelving to help display our projects as well.
