This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Teaching gifted children is such an exciting, rewarding experience. With their diverse interests, abilities, and goals, I have been challenged to become a lifelong learner to better serve my students. Giftedness comes in many forms with special needs like ADHD, ADD, and high functioning autism, but this just added little spice to my classroom. Through it all, it has been a pleasure to be surrounded by such talented children. These children will shape the future of America as shining stars.

My Project

Lately, technology has brought many new changes to my school. With 1-1 devices, my teaching style has undergone many new and exciting changes. I've implemented coding into my classroom which has inspired my children to want more. Our school district has provided some training in coding with SCRATCH, and I am very excited and passionate about learning and teaching this next step into coding to my children. However, I do not have the funding for supplemental materials. These Lego WeDo robots will give me the opportunity to implement what I am learning in professional developments as well as other online classes. With these robots, my students will be inspired to build, code​ and control robots to better prepare them to careers in technology in the future.
