My 22 students are imaginative, loving, and energetic. They come from low income households in an urban community. Many do not have the technology to learn on-line and depend on worksheet packets and whatever books they may have at home. Despite the hardships they are facing with schools being closed, they are eager learners.
My students have been home since mid-March learning from home. I have been sending assignments found in their textbooks through an online platform and they have access to online learning.
They need play breaks in between their workbooks and computers so they can relax and be refreshed to continue to learn from home.
I want them to have something they can use to create cars, castles, figurines, and many other things to give them time to create through play. I also want then to enjoy a small snack while they are working creatively.
