Help me give my students a "Boost" to their education. The LEGO Boost robotics set is a very child friendly way to learn to code. Through the building process, the kids are taught how to code their creations.
We have wonderful students that love our school and love to learn! We are a very rural school with a low-average income population. Our community and school families love our school. About half of our staff went to this school as children ourselves! We are always looking for ways to inspire creativity and foster that love of learning.
Our kindergarten friends love school and are such little sponges, that they are always excited to learn new things and can't wait to find out what we are learning next.
Even younger students deserve the opportunity to learn to code. With the Lego Boost system, the children have 5 different things they can build and write code to operate each creation. The program is very user friendly (even more so than most robotics systems aimed at younger students). I can't wait to see the excitement and creativity blooming in our kids! We currently have a robotics system in our school, but it is too complicated for our younger kids and budding readers to use. However, even the older students in our school would have an opportunity to use these robots through collaboration with our school's AIG program and Robotics teams.
