This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am blessed to teach an amazing group of third-grade students in an inclusion classroom setting. My students truly have a passion for learning. They are hardworking, enthusiastic, and incredible. When the weather prevents us from going outside for recess, they still need opportunities to move, create, and connect. Without engaging options, indoor recess can become challenging. LEGO building sets provide the perfect solution by allowing the students to collaborate and use their imagination in an engaging, focused way.

I love watching my students light up when they build and create together.

With LEGO, they plan, test ideas, and rethink their designs when something doesn’t work. They solve problems, talk through their thinking, and learn to listen to one another.

In our inclusion classroom, every child’s voice and ideas are valued. LEGO allows all students to participate, contribute, and feel successful. For students with diverse learning needs, these moments build confidence, independence, and pride in what they create.

Indoor recess is more than just a break from academics. It is a time to build friendships and develop essential social skills. With your support, my students will have access to high-quality LEGO materials that inspire creativity. Together, we can turn indoor recess into a space where imaginations soar, friendships grow, and every child feels included.
