Welcome to music central! I teach 3rd grade in a K-8 public school. My school has an arts focused program which serves a very diverse (ethnically and economically)student population from all parts of our city. I've been working to build up the music program in my school and started teaching guitar to my students after I got a donation of guitars. Unfortunately, there were no guitars donated for left-handed students.

Every year, I have 2-4 left handed students. It doesn't quite work trying to restring right-handed guitars, nor telling students to play like a right-handed person. It's time to make guitar playing equitable for all students no matter which hand they play with!

I need 2 acoustic guitars and fingering charts/diagrams designed for left-handed players. 1 guitar should be standard size for larger students and the other 3/4 sized for smaller students. These guitars will be used by my students as well as by other left-handed students who join 'Guitar Club'.

Your donation will help ensure equity for the "lefties" in my class and school. Who knows, you might be helping a future Paul McCarthy or Jimi Hendrix! Thank you for your consideration.
