My students need family engagement packs that include math, reading, engineering, civil engineering and computer engineering. These items will allow my students and their families to learn together.
My students sit in a classroom that is culturally balanced. My students come from various countries and speak various languages at home. The students in my class come from families that are struggling financially. The students attend a Title I school where funds are limited to purchase things that will enhance their learning outside of a textbook.
The students in my class are hands-on learners and learn better without a pencil in their hands.
Many of my students also suffer from attention deficit disorder, in which distraction overrides their learning
My Project
If you are to ask what is the second hardest thing to manage in the classroom, it is parent involvement. It is very hard to find activities or even find creative ways to get parents to want to come to school and learn about what their child is learning.
These family engagement packs that include math, reading, engineering, civil engineering and computer engineering will be used to entice families to want to come and learn and interact with their child.
These activities will allow students and families to come together and learn some cool things using hands-on STEM activities. These STEM activities will enhance the everyday learning that is going on in the classroom.
