We are surrounded by technology, but sadly our students during the school day aren't. Help me get kids involved, educated, and immersed in the new age of technology by helping to donate to buy these clickers. With these, kids can actually interact with websites as a whole class and no one is left out!
Our students are awesome!
We are a very diverse school, with over 19 languages spoken. We are a high poverty, Title 1 school and desperately need supplies. Our learners span from just learning English, to above grade level! Within my own class, there are a wealth of cultures, types of learners and economic statuses. They are missing an important component in their educational life - TECHNOLOGY!
My Project
Our entire grade level will benefit from these clickers everyday! We will use these to plan targeted and specific instruction for our students. Our students will be engaged and will receive instruction that they need. These clickers gather data which is useful in providing us teachers with instant information. We can adjust our teaching practices instantly.
We will use these clickers before and after each Math and Science lesson to gather data on student understanding! The pre/post assessments will determine which students need extra support and which are ready to move on.
We will use these clickers to enhance student engagement during the lessons as well as students can interact with powerpoints, websites, and games - as a whole class! Each student gets a vote! Everyone will be engaged in the learning.
This project will astronomically enhance the learning experience!
I will get instant data that will help us improve our practice. Students will get more engaged and motivated in the learning and will receive instant feedback during instruction. Everyone wins! These clickers will provide much needed technology links in the classroom to enhance the whole learning process. Kids will be more prepared for the future by using more technology and will receive customized instruction.
