Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am blessed to teach an amazing group of 4th-grade students in an inclusive classroom setting. My students truly have a passion for learning. They are hardworking, enthusiastic, and incredible. Within my classroom, I strive to create an environment that focuses on the importance of cultivating positive social and emotional skills, as well as strong academic skills. My goal is to build a culture of kindness, inclusion, and acceptance so all students can thrive. I believe in supporting my students with all of their individual needs, which includes providing them with options to best support their interests and learning styles.

STEM activities in our classroom are key components to helping my students navigate their own learning and discovery.

I want to give my students exposure to different kinds of STEM activities that encourage them to think and create in innovative ways. With this grant, I can provide my students with opportunities to participate in different STEM-building activities, increasing their engagement, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
