My students need access to new technologies for MakerSpaces. These robotics will provide a great, hands on experience for my students as we explore the basics of STEAM.
How can we reach all of the technology needs our students? I find myself asking this question as I see my students come from so many different economic backgrounds. Some of them have limited use of technology at home.
My students love using technology.
My students are creative, energetic, and excited about coming to the library. Their excitement only increases when they see the laptops sitting out on the tables. I encourage the students to become more independent library users and they are rising to the challenge!
My Project
I am requesting multiple different robotics for STEAM skills. These robots will serve all of my students since they are very interactive and provide different levels of skills needed to use them.
These resources will give my students the skills necessary to compete in a 21st century job market.
The activities with these robots will be as simple as navigating out of a maze to complex coding using colors and markers. Students will pair these devices with the library iPad to increase engagement and the level of interaction they can have.
Engaging students in fun and interactive lessons has been proven to increase their learning. I want to create fun, dynamic, and complex lessons to excite the students, but also teach them the skills they need to succeed in high school, college, and the work force.
