With your support, our class will learn and grow lifelong skills that they will need to be successful in their future!
Our class has 11 excited young minds whose ages are 3 to 5 years old.
All of them have been identified with special needs from a different range of levels of strengths and needs (autism, developmentally delayed, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and other health impairments).
Our classroom is on the campus of an elementary Title I school with students who are economically disadvantaged, and with a great percentage of English Learners.
We would like to bring a light tablet and materials such as sensory toys and manipulatives to our class to engage students and enhance their literacy, math, and writing skills in playful yet educational ways, while developing their curiosity for science, math, and more.
Light attracts us all, and is an excellent learning tool to catch and hold the students’ attention as their work their way through diverse learning activities.
A light tablet can be used in multiple methods for exploration in science, technology, arts, crafts, and more to exploring new academic concepts and test their thinking first-hand. In our classroom, we love to learn!
