My Students
My Pre-K students are inquisitive young children who love to learn and explore. They thrive on learning new things. The looks on their faces when they learn something new is priceless.
I am fortunate enough to teach 23 of the most amazing Pre-K students in Maryland.
The charter school I teach at is located in a high poverty area, but that certainly does not stop us from making sure our students have all the tools they need to be successful, well-rounded children.
My Project
My students are very creative and they love to build every chance they get. What better way to enhance our thematic curriculum than by incorporating Legos! The sets I have chosen will give students opportunities to create communities and habitats as we are learning about them.
In addition to reinforcing our community and animal themes, these materials will also help students to enhance their collaboration and problem solving skills.
The community pack will help students develop their creative and collaborative skills while exploring topics such as community-life, building, transportation, and relationships, as they construct their community however they imagine. The wild animal set will allow students to construct habitats for each animal. Students will learn about what animals need to survive and how they are different from one another.
