Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come in with a passion for learning. They are enthusiastic and entertaining. They teach me just as much as I teach them. This particular group is special because they have some difficulties reading, but they don’t allow that to stop them from pushing forward. They are aware of where they, and where they need to be. They strive really hard each day to get to where they need to be. These items will benefit all of us a great amount, especially them.

My Project

Last year our school had an audit, and we discovered that most of our technology was old and obsolete. Now we do not have the ability to print any of our resources that are beneficial for our students. Also the rugs that we had were well over ten years old and dirty. My students love to sit or lie on the carpet in comfort as I teach. These two items will make a world of a difference because I will be able to print copies in my room and not have to wait until I get home and my students will no longer be confined to their desks all day, which is what they do not like.
