Help me give my students some fun learning activities. The WELINK Balance Stones can help with large motor skills. I use games like Sloth in a Hurry and T-Rex Rocks to integrate my lessons with fun!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are movers and shakers. My special needs students are in a Special Day Class and many of them go to a general education classroom various times throughout the day. They are great visual learners and they love learning through playing games. My students like a bright, yet not too overstimulating environment that will keep them engaged and many opportunities to get up and move. I use multiple methods of learning for my students to keep them engaged.
My students really like to move and play games while they learn.
They are learn a little different. They are learning the same curriculum as all the other students, but need to access it from a different angle. They also learn different social skills every day to help them interact better with other students in the school.
My students are at a school in a low-income/high poverty community with most students qualifying for free or reduced lunches.
My Project
Many of my students have outside services such as Adapted PE, Occupational Therapy, and Speech. I like to work with those providers to work on those goals while integrating the fun into my core lessons. I can teach reading sight words while balancing on stepping stones, or playing hopscotch on our hopscotch rug. I will use the number and alphabet bean bags to better identify those skills. We play games in speech all the time. We can answer comprehension questions while playing T-Rex Rocks. Each correct answer in a complete sentence, with support, will get a turn. The students stay engaged, have fun, and also learn.
Having fun while learning keeps my students wanting to learn more.
They participate more and learn more. My students are reluctant to participate, and don't like learning because it is hard for them. Keeping them engaged and wanting to learn is an everyday struggle. Having materials to work with gives me more to work with.
