My Project

Five and six year old children are little scientists who learn through experimenting in their everyday life with everyday materials. In my classroom, I love providing students with the opportunities to develop and learn through hands on experiences through STEM materials.

Exposing students to multiple STEM activities opens the possibility for life long learning and development.

Helping give these students the opportunity to play and see what they are interested in is my main goal with this project. Providing them with these STEM toys such as the legos, the building blocks, the magnetic sticks, marble tracks, or the car can help expose them to future learning opportunities for future careers. If they enjoy playing with the stem toys now, maybe that will create a life long interest to help them make future choices to become STEM professionals. I hope to teach these children a love of learning and with items that they enjoy playing and learning with, that gives me and them an advantage.
