My classroom is a place of challenge and discovery. Students spend the year learning the foundation skills they will need as they move forward in their elementary education and throughout their lives. My students are 3rd graders in Utah.
My students are excited to explore the world through the hands-on exploration to expand their capacity for critical thinking.
It is important for me to help them learn to take pride in their efforts and be willing to challenge their minds for the sake of learning.
My Project
My students work very hard on their writing skills. Informational writing is always difficult for them to understand. Not only do they need to be able to write, but they also need to know how to read text and pick out the important details.
Please give my students nonfiction texts that will be engaging for them to learn research skills in order to help them learn writing skills.
After they write, I want to include science research using owl pellets. I would also like to include art with paint to finish off the unit. These materials will give my students the engagement needed to get excited about learning.
