Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school, where a heavy percentage of the families live in poverty. We also have an extremely high ELL population. A lot of my students are still in the process of learning English as their second language.

My students have a desire to learn and I want to provide them with the resources to do so.

A lot of these resources I have already or want to provide for them they do not have at home. As a teacher, it's my job to make sure my students have everything they need and more to learn the best way they can.

My Project

These reading games and activities will help my students build their reading comprehension skills to help them succeed! Students will be able to use these materials during their independent work block and at the small group reading table.

Our schools' ELL population is very high; therefore, the vocabulary games will help my students build their reading and speaking skills.

Providing these materials will not only help them learn the skills they need, but they will also keep them engaged in their learning!

With demands of fourth graders being so high, I want to provide my students with everything I can to ensure they will succeed.
