Help me give my students Plaid Phonics Level Student 2012 Edition and Plaid Phonics Level K Teacher Resource Book to help enrich their reading instruction.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”― Nelson Mandela
My students go to a Title I school where 93% or more are on free or reduced price lunch.
This being so, they appreciate things even more. My students love math! Their favorite time of day is when we do literacy centers. They get to play fun alphabet games and work together as a team. One of their favorite activities is working on the iPads and making words with stampers. My students are working hard this year to learn their letters and numbers. They're also learning about positive attitudes and how to be part of a team.
My Project
By having a set of phonics books, my students will be able to have a way to practice phonics concepts on a daily basis. It will help them review letter names and sounds which is a huge building block on the path to learning to read. The books will allow students to match sounds to pictures and learn sight words.
These books will help enrich phonics instruction and build confident beginning readers.
By working in the books each day, it will help my students build upon what they learned the day before. By the end of the school year, they will know all the letter names, sounds and sight words and will be reading books fluently on their own.
The Plaid Level K phonics books will help my students learn to read phenomenally!
