My Students

Interaction is key during story time with young children. It is not always easy for them to sit still and listen to a story.

My students come from a low-economic community in PA.

They love to be involved in whatever we do in our classroom. Story time is not always the easiest time for the students. They are young and it is hard for them to sit and listen to a story. If they can be involved in the story in anyway, it would help them enjoy the time and comprehend the story as much as possible!

My Project

I am asking for materials that will help get the students involved in story time, along with strengthening language skills. The story time puppets and books will help in being able to have them use the puppets to recreate a story and use in centers to retell the story to peers. I am also asking for materials that help improve language skills. All of these materials will in the end help my students be ready to read and learn a love for books.

Reading and language skills are very important.

If we can get students into reading at a young age it will help them for the rest of their school career along with their adult life. These materials will help make learning fun for my students.
