This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are absolutely amazing. What makes them so special is that they have to work harder than your average student. You see, my students have various learning disabilities. These superstars understand what obstacles really are and they rise to the challenge. The biggest issue they face is their confidence which we work on every day. They may struggle with some of their academics but you should see the amazing things they create with their unique style of learning.

My Project

My wonderful students often struggle when it comes to taking general educational classes. They struggle with their reading fluency, comprehension and fear reading aloud in class. We work daily to improve their reading comprehension and fluency.

These books that I am requesting are not only written more to my population of students reading ability but they learn new and exciting facts along the way.

They enjoy sharing newly learned information with their parents and peers. It helps to improve not only their reading ability but, most importantly, their overall confidence.
