I teach high school students with learning disabilities. My classroom is a combination of 9th through 12th grade students at all different academic levels. The majority of my students come from a low socioeconomic background and many are the first to complete high school in their families. They are an amazing bunch of kids who battle gang violence, difficult home lives, and much much more yet they still seem to make it to school.
