My Project

Our school runs a biweekly Pokémon club for first through eighth grade students. This club is a space for students to share their love for all things Pokemon. The club meets after school every other week and is ran by two teachers who have a love for Pokémon and a love for seeing the joy it brings the students. The club started at the end of the last school year so this will be the first full year of Pokémon club.

We have Pokémon trading card battles, do crafts, and play pokemon games while learning sportsmanship, math, critical thinking, communication, and many other valuable skills.

Our students learn how to play the Pokémon card game through the use of Pokémon Battle Academy sets. We have three sets. However, with only three sets for 60+ kids, many kids do not get to use one during the club meeting. We would like to provide the students with additional Pokémon battle academy sets. These sets help students learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game. As our students are learning to play the card game, they use these sets to battle other club members. These sets also include card decks so students who do not have their own cards are still able to participate in the card game.
