Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love sitting on the carpet for morning meeting, whole group, and reading books throughout the day. We utilize the carpet for so many activities throughout the day. A bright colorful carpet will add so much life to our classroom, and will be a cozy spot for the students to rest on during quiet time! The shapes on the carpet will reinforce learning our shapes everyday, while students can choose a shape to sit on while they participate in various activities.

The classroom rug is the go to meeting place to learn, share their thoughts, ask questions, dance, and have some educational fun.

The colors are vibrant and have the color words written, which would be a great way for the kids to identify colors and learn the corresponding word as well. The classroom rug is an essential part of the classroom, and it will be great if my students have a place where they can sit and talk to one another and learn as much as possible.
