My Students

Energetic, caring, curious, and eager to learn are a few words that describe my students. In the largest elementary in our district, my students love to feel special, and not just one of the many students that walk our halls. They not only love to receive love and praise, but they LOVE to give it to others. In our classroom, we continually strive for support, positive validation, community, and confidence in being vulnerable with one another. We are a family that grows and fails together.

My students thrive and really come together when given opportunities to work on projects and work together to find solutions to problems.

They enjoy activities that allow them to get up and moving around the classroom. And they love it when I integrate the arts, STEM, and technology into our everyday curriculum. Their future looks bright and I hope to guide them to being the best they can be!

My Project

In this world of constant change, my students need a chance to keep up with the latest technology. Having access to laptops will allow my students to do this. With these laptops we will have access to online research for class projects. My students will learn to use Google Classroom in an effort to prepare them for the near future when they will be required to turn in work through this program. Our district requires students to become proficient at keyboarding through online programs and having laptops in our classroom will significantly help in this effort. Our new Math adoption has a large technology portion and my students will need to have a device to access it. Even our state testing is now done online. If I have laptops in my room, my students can test in the comfort of their own classroom.

Having laptops at their fingertips will give my students the opportunities they need to learn through technology and be prepared for the future.

As they move on to high school and eventually college they will need to be very familiar with online educational programs in order to be successful. With your help, my students will be on their way to a bright future.
