Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 25 wonderful students at a Title I school in West Valley City, Utah. They love to learn and are eager to continue to grow educationally. They love to do math and science, and I am hoping to put together more STEAM activities to get their brains working and growing!

My Project

I am a first-year teacher who is just taking over mid-year. One of my goals is to have STEAM a part of our daily activities to really push my students' minds and to have fun. With all the stress of the pandemic and unknowns, I figured having tools and activities where they will both learn and enjoy creating will help them tremendously.

I hope to be able to inspire the kids through these STEAM activities that they can push their imagination and abilities beyond the current hardships they are facing during a pandemic despite any home challenges.
