Learning Through Purposeful Play

Help me give my students new seating for group time, a dress up area with mirror, and baby cradle, high chair, and changing table for their babies in the dramatic play center!

My Project

I love the curiosity my students show when making connections with everyday experiences. The dress up shelf with a mirror will help the children build confidence, make every day connections to real life experiences, and use their imaginations as they dress up and pretend to be anything they want to be!

Providing new materials in the dramatic play area will give my students the chance to learn responsibility, kindness, and how to nurture others when taking care of their baby dolls.

This helps them engage in conversations with other children, recall real life experiences, practice roll-play, solve problems, learn routines, build independence, and use their imaginations.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
