This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have implemented a routine in my classroom that I've found helps all of my learners. Each morning before instruction, the students have the choice to use a puzzle, game, or manipulative. For 15 minutes they will play in groups. I believe through this routine, my students have taken ownership of their classroom. I see they are engaged throughout the day and proud to be a part of our classroom community! I am asking for puzzles, games, and various toys like magnetic tiles, which will help my students with fine motor skills, encourage them to think critically, and foster creativity!

At the end of the 15 minutes I find that my students are eased into their day and are ready to learn!
