My Students

Our students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love playing and learning while they play. They are so excited to be back at school to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are an inspiration!

I love their resilience and desire to learn.

My job is to provide them with opportunities to play, discover, and learn together so that they might one day become scientists, mathematicians, teachers, and change makers.

Our school is a Title I school with a diverse student population. Several students are English language learners. Each child comes hopeful and open to the possibilities. The methods and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. The one thing they need more than ever is time to play and learn together!

My Project

I’m super excited about bringing LEGO Duplo into our classroom playtime! Kindergarteners will use so many skills with these materials. Not just their problem-solving skills and imagination, but also their engineering and problem-solving skills both socially and academically.

Every day students get the opportunity to play and learn together.

Our center time helps students build so many skills. Adding the Lego Duplo blocks will be exciting and engaging. Duplo helps students build their fine motor skills and there are endless connections to our learning throughout the day.

Duplo blocks can be used for storytelling, learning about force and motion, engineering and design, mathematics, spatial awareness, and so many other things. I can't wait to see what our kids will make and build.
