My Students

My students are incredibly, fantastically, and amazingly diverse! This year I am an EL teacher who sees students in 1st - 4th grades. Many of my students are brand new to the country and are just beginning to learn English, but most of my students are multilingual and are able to fluently speak both languages.

Since my students are all learning English, or trying to master it, any sort of visual or hands-on manipulatives will really help them connect their native language to English.

My students' motivation and drive are commendable and they make my job worth every minute of the day!

My Project

Why not PLAY and LEARN at the SAME time!?

Through play they will learn how to cooperate with one another, how to socialize in an appropriate manner, and how to creatively make their learning come to life!

The Pretend and Play Market will be a way for students to explore the supermarket and learn the social norms of going shopping in a fun and interactive way. The Play-All Around Dollhouse will help students imagine characters and develop unique story-lines while working with their peers. The Career Hat Collection will provide the students the opportunity to explore different jobs and learn the important role of citizens in the community.
