My school is in a small town in Indiana near a large university. We have a culturally diverse school with many families coming from other countries, and I believe this makes our classroom incredibly special. My first graders are enthusiastic students who love to be challenged with hands-on activities and educational games in the classroom. Every child in my classroom loves to learn, and I incorporate a variety of learning strategies so that every child can reach their fullest potential.
My Project
My students are in need of hands-on materials to enhance their learning in the first grade classroom. These hands-on materials, such as building materials and puzzles, will be used by small groups of students in the morning as the students are entering the classroom for the day.
The students will learn though hands-on activities with the materials, and they will also develop social skills though the sharing of materials and the cooperation that the activities will require.
The materials will provide the students with engaging hands-on activities that will motivate them to enter the classroom quickly and begin learning right away every morning through "play." Thank you for your support of the children in my classroom.
