Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students learn best when they can move, touch, and play. They are special education students who need extra support with focus, communication, social skills, and basic reading and math. Many of them struggle to sit still, manage big feelings, and stay engaged during lessons.

This project will provide hands-on games, sensory tools, and learning materials to help my students succeed in a way that works for them.

The stress balls and sensory items will help students calm their bodies and stay focused during learning. Many of my students need something to hold or squeeze to help reduce anxiety and avoid frustration.

The games and activities will build important academic skills. Counting tools, letter matching games, and simple word activities will support early reading and math. These hands-on materials make learning easier to understand and more fun.

The group games and buzzer tools will help students practice taking turns, listening, and participating. These are important social skills that my students work on every day.

Movement-based items like floor games and play equipment will give students safe ways to move their bodies. Movement helps improve focus, behavior, and overall learning.

The storage bins and pouches will help keep materials organized so students can easily access what they need and learn routines.

Overall, these materials will create a positive and engaging classroom where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. When students enjoy learning, they are more confident and more willing to try new things.
