I am blessed beyond measure to teach in a true neighborhood school! We are one of the last remaining in our area. Each morning I greet my students at the door with a hug and a smile. I love to start their day off with happiness and positivity. I am blessed to teach eighteen, five and six year old kindergarten children in my classroom. They come to school eager to soak up every morsel of knowledge they can.
In my classroom, you will find a day filled with thematic teaching and projects, centers, shared reading and journal time.
I teach in a Title One school (high numbers of free/reduced-price lunches) in Alabama. I have eighteen, fantastic and precious kindergarten students in my classroom this year. I am blessed to come to a job each day where I can help these children learn, grow and most importantly, develop a love of learning to last them a lifetime!
I have been teaching kindergarten for 14 years, and with 14 sweet classes, our furniture has become used, old, and sad. I am requesting a new kitchen furniture set and blocks (with people, cars and shelf) for my newest kindergarten kiddos.
Play is how young children learn best!
What better way to learn social, emotional and academic skills than the use of hands-on activities.
With your help, you can make that old, sad furniture a thing of the past and help the next 14+ years of students in my class! Your potential impact will last for many years to come!
