My Project

Kindergarten is filled with many exciting milestones. From learning how to be at school to reading and writing about things they love. One of my their favorite thing to do is listen to stories. They love listening to me read to them or listen to stories online. Another way my class is able to listen to books is with books on CD.

Books on CD give students a chance to connect written print to audio readings of the stories they love.

These stories are available to my students during our reading centers. Books on CD are a center they go to each week. They have the chance to pick their choice for what story to listen to and than follow along as it is read to them. The addition of headphones makes it easier to hear the story and for them to focus on what they are hearing.

By having this educational option available, my students are able to hear stories and have them come alive with being read to them. They learn more words and can follow the story better and better each time. Books on CD are a great support to the foundation of reading development.
