Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My scholars are creative, thoughtful, and come to school with many questions! When the clock hits 8:00, we start our busy schedule with a community meeting, which leads to our rigorous curriculum for the day. The expectations are set very high for thinking, sharing, listening, and helping classmates and my scholars have exceeded these expectations so far this year.
My goal is to provide scholars with the learning strategies and thinking skills required to be successful in the real world.
The skills learned in our classroom go beyond reading, writing, and math. We practice taking sides to an argument, adding on and disagreeing with each other's thoughts, and collaborating to create thoughtful group projects.

These supplies will help scholars stay organized when they return to the classroom! Our whiteboards have seen better days and with a lot of work on the carpet, we'll be able to use them all around the room.
I always tell my scholars that the first step to success is organization.
Our new bins and caddies will help us keep our supplies and materials organized so we can stay focused on our learning. Having an organized classroom gives scholars the comfort of knowing where necessary materials might be for projects and activities.
