Learning Safari: Everyday is an Adventure

Help me give my students individual areas to continue their learning adventure as we return to face to face learning.

My Students

My students are in special education but they do not let that slow them down. They are full of smiles and laughs and are trying hard to understand what a pandemic is. Often times, they bring a smile to everyone that has the honor of knowing them. They enjoy the little things and are eager to join in whatever new learning adventure we have.

"We got this," has become our room motto.

We got face to face learning and we got distance learning. We end each day with, "this has been the best day ever because (fill in the blank)." Not only, do I love hearing what their favorite part is, but I love that it is always the best day ever!

My Project

As we return to face to face learning, distance boundaries are hard to understand in my classroom. With a full classroom, it will be even more important to maximize safety and have our own areas.These items will give a great visual reminder to everyone and will keep all our materials tidy.

Each day is a new learning adventure, but now we are making it a safety jungle.

The learners will not need to focus as much on where they need to be and can spend that time and energy tackling the adventure that is learning.

Keeping everyone safe is always a part of the job, but during a pandemic, this can easily be an overwhelming task and the sole focus. Learning should be fun and engaging and we keep it that way while following safety expectations. Building great experiences and memories, is a part of what leaves the greatest impact.
