Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a teacher in a Title I elementary school, I find myself not providing the vital tools for all my learners. More than seventy percent of our campus receives free or reduced-priced lunch, and a lot of my students don't have access to the technology outside of the classroom. My inquisitive, active learners are constantly reaching out to equip their knowledge for a successful future.
Although we live in an era where technology has become an important component for our students in education today, it is still important that our students have printable resources to review and practice at home and school.
The cyan and black toner cartridges will allow all our teachers to print color academic resources for their students. Many of our students did not have the resources or support at home while we were learning on zoom during the first two years of the pandemic. It is my hope to help all the students in our school with printable academic materials they can review with while they study at home and school. My colleagues and I see a big difference in students who were able to return to in-person learning last year. We hope that we can differentiate and provide more learning flashcards and posters for students to narrow the learning gap.
