My Project

I am working with emergent readers as they embark on their road to learning all aspects of the World of Reading. I am working with some of my students on letter sounds, letter recognition, and the ability to tie them together into sight words. This is an amazing process for them. They love to move magnetic letters around on a writing board to create words. We begin with CVC Words. (Consonant Vowel Consonant) This is where the magic of reading begins. I am asking for these magnetic letters and emergent books to send home to increase their desire to read more. When they have fun, learning comes easily.
