Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a low economic predominantly Hispanic area where my students and their family have very little but they are ready and eager to learn. We have very little technology in our class for our students to use and gain resources from. My kindergarteners come in with little to no knowledge of letters and sounds but are very eager to learn, share, and understand the English language! I try my very best everyday to provide them with the best to get them to succeed and to reach high expectations!

My Project

The tablets will definitely help my students with their sounds and letters while using technology! Now that kids are being tested on the SBAC (a California Standardized testing) on the computer, it would be great to get these kids used to using technology early on! The students will be able to learn their letters and sounds in a fun and engaging way that would make it easy and fun for them!! The letters alive will help them right from the beginning to learn their sounds and letters in a fun and exciting way! The letter alive would be a great center for my students to work in while I help the lower struggling students!
