My Students

Do you remember the excitement of reading and creating books? My students need writing paper and a learning rug to accomplish these rewarding tasks.

My second grade students live in a small rural community.

The community is so small that it doesn't even have a grocery store! Likewise, the school budget is limited, and therefore we cannot purchase supplies beyond our very basic necessities. This is where we need your help.

My Project

A reading carpet will create a warm learning environment for the kids. It will also be a wonderful tool for learning about continents, for the continent shapes on the rug will be used as a learning tool. Lined paper is also a basic necessity that will allow the kids to write and publish stories.

You can make a difference!
