My Students

My PreK students are four years old. They are highly inquisitive, energetic, loving, curious little sponges who are eager to learn all about anything and everything!

My PreK students are the littlest learners in our public elementary school.

We have 54 students in 3 PreK classes at our school. We are completely in person learning at the moment, but are preparing for a time when we will go virtual again. We are working hard to make learning games and materials that can be laminated and sanitized for maximum use.

My Project

As a PreK class, we are not allowed to use worksheets. We create laminated learning mats so students can practice at home. In the event of another school closure, we need to have learning mats ready for our students to practice games and skills at home. The use of laminated mats will allow us to sanitize the mats and reuse them between students. This will maximize the effectiveness of our efforts and allow us to reach more students at once.

Sending laminated learning games will help strengthen the bond between home and school.

Our students are eager to learn and practice the skills that they have learned in class and this will allow families to work with continuity from school to home.
