This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Over a third of the population in our community has income below the poverty level, and my students are not exempt. My student body consists of approximately 30 students from poor socioeconomic backgrounds. The impact of poverty on the education of my students presents in many forms, one being very limited experiences and exposure to resources that can expand their learning beyond the classroom.
My students are brilliant and highly motivated!
These students do not have access to the latest technology; however, they are hardworking and excited to learn about anything and everything.
My Project
The Microsoft Surface Go will be used as a station to enhance students understanding of various math topics during intervention, or when a student is having a hard time grasping the concept of math skills. As students use the Surface Go to access many educational applications, this technology will provide challenging work that provides feedback and guidance as they go. Whether helping the students who need enrichment activities or as a motivational tool, a Microsoft Surface Go will bring learning to life for my students!
The Surface Go will help motivate and excite my students about their learning in math and other subject areas.
Students will be able to access videos, tutorials, animations, and movies to help them grasp skills and understanding as they strive to excel in math.
