This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are funny and love life. They enjoy working together and sharing ideas. We are a close-knit community. I teach physical education and math for four classes and the state-mandated Response to Intervention and Instruction class. I have one class that is an inclusion class. At times, my students need to be motivated and experience opportunities for success. They are very competitive and love to express themselves.

My students face several challenges that make it very difficult for them to concentrate and learn.

We are transitioning back to the school building. Students will remain in one location and have to follow strict requirements. One requirement is to keep on a face mask all day except for eating and hydration breaks.

My Project

The materials will have a profound impact on my students' intellectuual, mental, and social emotional learning. The projection screen will be used for indoor/outdoor instruction. I am trying to expose my students to blended learning. This will assist with whole and small group classroom management. The lighting cord will be used to connect my phone and school issued iPad in conjunction with our four instructional practices that will maximize learning. The money cube will be used as an incentive for students that give effort and excel. I am a believer that students make their middle school money to get their high school credit. I want to be a game changer in my students' lives. Also, I promote that teach the importance of math. It is used in everything we do.
