My Students

I work with two groups of lovely 4th and 5th graders. They always try their best to learn.

I work at an open classroom concept school that has 67% free & reduce lunch students.

When you walk into our classroom you walk into a real world, there are banks, libraries, shops and etc. Our students will practice real life skills in our classroom, they will truly understand the connections between their academic work and real life, so they are always motivated to learn.

My Project

It is very hard for students to understand why they have to learn certain things in class. I'm planning to build a real community in our classroom. To do that each student will have an actural job such as banker, librarian and ect. And each student will get a real salary which will use the bills and coins. And we also will collect tax for varias situations. With the money bills and coins we can help students to have a better understanding on why they need to learn math and will also help the students to practice their social skills.
