Learning Math and Critical Thinking with OSMO PLAY!
Help me give my students Osmo Detective Math Wizard and Detective Agency to take them beyond the walls of our classroom as we study math and learn about different cultures!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have 18 students in my classroom who love to learn. In my awesome bunch of students, I have many students who come from different backgrounds and learn in different ways. My classroom includes special education students, students who receive English Learning interventions, general education students, and students from a majority of average to low economic backgrounds.
I work hard and do “whatever it takes” to make sure my students are working in an engaging, fun, and safe environment that meets their individual learning needs.
My classroom focuses on providing authentic, hands-on learning opportunities that shape the whole student into leaders of our future.
My Project
The use of Osmo Learning is almost a daily activity in my classroom in every subject for learning. Using Osmo Math Wizard is a great learning tool to help display models in math, as well as take students on a math learning adventure! Osmo Math Wizard helps students work on strategies such as adding and subtracting within 120, counting and place value, comparing numbers, word problems, and measuring. Osmo Detective helps develop deductive reasoning skills in the young mind of a child, which will greatly benefit them for the rest of their life!
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement in math and social studies, and give them the love for learning!
Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and gain the love of learning during this technology-driven academic year and years to come!
