My Students

Between ages 4-9, a child's brain is twice as active as an adult brain. My students love to learn and providing them with chart paper, markers, colorful sentence strips, glue, pencils, paint, etc. can help us have the materials we need to learn through creativity.

My students come from a low-income community.

We are a Title I school where everyone is granted free lunch due to the high poverty level. Many of my students have come from another country and speak multiple languages. Despite all this, they are kind, loving, respectful and eager to learn.

My Project

My goal is to empower students through art! My students need chart paper, markers, colorful sentence strips, glue, pencils, paint, etc. in order to learn through creativity. While school has become more rigorous over the years, my students who come from many different backgrounds and speak many different languages, need more outlets to learn. Learning through art is a creative, fun and engaging way for my students to comprehend the daily lessons taught in school.

Donations to this project will help improve the classroom environment by making it colorful and engaging for my students.

It will also allow my students to create and be hands on in order to guide their learning.
