My Project

My kindergarten through third grade students love hands-on learning materials. I currently own the addition math locks game and the blends/digraph locks game and students from all four grade levels ask to play them both often.

The materials provided by this project will enable my students to utilize hands-on learning locks to practice their letters, sounds, decoding skills, counting, and number identification.

The alphabet learning locks can be utilized to practice letter names, letter sounds and beginning sounds in words. The short word lock game will enable students to practice reading words that follow a consonant, vowel, consonant spelling pattern. The number lock game will enable students to practice one-to-one correspondence while counting and number identification.

All of the skills above will be utilized in an hands-on-setting that also allows students to practice fine motor skills while self-checking their answers while using the educational locks game.
