This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our elementary school is of a primarily low income student demographic. Most students lack the materials to succeed and it would greatly benefit them to be able to utilize the books they deserve to be successful. Literacy plays such an important role and every student deserves access to a variety of books.

My Project

These language-focused games are standards-based and allow for fun while learning in the classroom. Third grade is a huge jump from second grade as these students will be tested by the state for the first time since beginning school. This can be nerve-wracking for both the teacher and the students. There are so many skills that students are expected to master in one year that we need to remember to also have fun while learning these skills! These comprehension and language skill games will bring excitement to the learning process in the classroom as we master the skills needed in third grade.
